BORN OUT OF A LOVE FOR ADVENTURE

Our founder, Joan Rojas, was looking for a protective solution to the sun, wind, and cold as he toured the country roads of Catalonia on his motorcycle. He tirelessly sketched and researched before landing upon the solution: a seamless microfiber tube.

THE ADVENTURE TAKES OFF

Lucky for Joan, he was born in an area famous for textile manufacturing. At his family-owned knitting factory just outside of Barcelona, he created the first BUFF®️ prototypes. In this same town, we continue to innovate and expand the business today.

EUROPE FALLS IN LOVE WITH BUFF

Word spreads fast. This unique product was a game changer for outdoor lovers, and the success story traveled far beyond its origins in Spain. BUFF® became a household name throughout Europe, France, Italy, Germany, and the UK.

THINK BIG, STAY LOCAL

One of the most significant landmark decisions was made in 2002 when the company moved into its new factory just outside Barcelona, 8,000 square meters in the place where it all began, making Joan’s dream a reality and creating the foundation for a successful future.
