Blank Canvas is an initiative where artists transform our head and neckwear into vibrant expressions of creativity. Each design tells a story, turning everyday essentials into inspiring works of art.
Fully devoted to her art, Bambi merges passion with profession, partnering with outdoor brands, snowboard events, creating large scale murals and art installations for ski resorts. This collaboration with BUFF® and POW lands exactly in the sweet spot between her creative world and snowboard roots, a line she’s grateful to be riding.
Tell us a bit more about yourself and your journey as an artist
Blending the lines from backcountry to canvas, Bambi’s passion for the outdoors feeds her desire to create. As a mountain sports enthusiast, the French-Canadian artist brings her adventures to life through colourful murals and illustrations. Drawing inspiration from the joy of being outdoors, she reveals the world through her lens, where imagination knows no bound.
Based in the mountains of Revelstoke, British Columbia, with brushes in one hand and her monocular in the other, Bambi’s creative process is what she likes to call, Art-doorsy.
Where do you draw inspiration from? – or can you tell us a bit about the story behind your design.
For the BUFF® x POW collab, I wanted to evoke a sense of comfort by portraying the mountains as a powerful and protective force. I often season my artwork with expressive characters to reflect the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with conquering summits and riding epic lines with your friends. I love exploring the contrast between excitement and chaos, but also the sense of calm and humility from feeling small in the mountains. My intention through this piece is to illustrate each element living in harmony, the same way we’re meant to live in harmony with nature.
This collab highly resonates with me, because having the privilege to access such wild and inspiring terrain comes with the responsibility to preserve and protect the land that fuels my creativity and makes me feel alive.
Can you take us through the steps you use when creating a piece of art?
I love painting the invisible world I see when venturing out in the wild. What sparks my imagination isn’t necessarily visually there, but it comes from the feeling of being surrounded by stunning landscapes. A snowy tree shaped like a friendly creature or towering mountains that evoke a protective presence are the kinds of details that shape my artwork. While I’m outdoors, I like to be fully in the moment, either filling my cup with adrenaline or my camera roll with inspiration.
Once I’m back at the base, I find a cozy spot and start pouring ideas onto paper. Compositions and colours follow, and I keep working on the piece until it reaches an interesting point, one that feels just right.

What are your favorite outdoor activities? and why?
Snow, surf and skateboarding are on top of the list. It’s the perfect balance of adrenaline and creativity when I’m picking lines or trying new tricks. I get the same feeling when I paint the first line on a canvas or finish a painting I’ve been pouring my soul into.
What does "Live more Now" mean for you? and how do you Live More Now every day?
To me, “Live More Now” means saying yes to what makes me happy whether that’s achieving a big goal or soaking in the simple pleasures. It’s saying yes to adventure, whether it’s a backcountry trip with friends or a solo art break in nature. I live more now every day by focusing my energy where creativity, community, and the outdoors naturally come together.
Tell us about 3 things about you that most people may not know?
I have a giant 3D structure in the works and been loving dipping my toes in 3D drawing/printing.
My nickname came from winning an air guitar contest in the early 2000’s.
I’m obsessed with backcountry navigation. There’s something so satisfying about studying maps, picking a new objective, and figuring out the route as I go. I’m equally obsessed on my monocular and the wildlife I’ve been spotting through it lately.
Thank you for this opportunity, I’m so grateful to be able to share my vision with like-minded people who can relate to the feeling of adventure, pushing their limits, and feeling energized from spending time outdoors.”
